Specific Instructions
For 2007-2012 Cummins Trucks:
Important: Make sure to install the patch file before loading the tune. Failing to do so could cause damage to the factory PCM, leading to potential issues that may require a dealership re-flash.
Cummins Specific Instructions:
- Locate the intake air throttle valve on the driver’s side of the engine bay, under the intake, by the intercooler pipe.
- Ensure to "unplug" this valve. Leaving it plugged could cause it to stick closed, resulting in issues with engine operation or RPM behavior.
- If you are unsure about the location or the unplugging process, consider seeking assistance from a professional.
Duramax Specific Instructions:
- Prior to tuning, unplug the intake air throttle valve located on the passenger side of the engine, beneath the hood, next to the alternator.
- For LML 11-16 trucks:
- Unplug both EGR valves. The first is located on the driver's side, and the second on the passenger side.
- Also, ensure the intake air throttle valve is unplugged. Not doing so may cause malfunctioning or failure to rev-up.
