We are excited to offer Black Bandit's Iron Loader tune for the 2014-2017 RAM 1500 Ecodiesel. Unlike traditional methods, there is no need to remove and ship your PCM.
When you purchase this package, you will receive an Iron Loader device that allows you to connect directly with your RAM EcoDiesel. You’ll be able to download your stock PCM data and send it to us for tuning. Within three business days of receiving your stock file, we will return the modified tune files to you.
Tuning Options Available
- Economy: Remove all emissions components while maintaining the stock power level.
- StockPlus: Keep all emissions components in place. This calibration increases horsepower by approximately 35 while maintaining stock reliability. Fuel efficiency may improve by 5-10%, though results may vary.
- EcoPower: Remove emissions components and add a +35hp boost, designed for enhanced fuel economy while retaining stock reliability.
- Race: Remove all emissions components and unlock +50hp. Perfect for competitive performance while maintaining safe reliability limits.
- Tow: Increase towing capability with an additional +50hp, specifically tailored for hauling at your vehicle’s maximum capacity with emissions components removed.
- Max: Get the most out of your stock engine and turbo with +75hp, emissions removed, designed for maximum power output.
- Custom: Create a fully personalized calibration based on your specific needs, usually ideal for setups with aftermarket turbos or custom engine builds. This process involves collaborative fine-tuning to meet your exact specifications.

*Please note: We cannot tune over an existing tune. If your PCM has been previously tuned, it will need to be restored to stock settings before applying a new tune.*
Before flashing your ECM with the modified files, ensure there are no maintenance or engine warning lights on the dashboard. Any errors should be addressed and cleared prior to tuning. If you’ve experienced DEF/DPF countdown issues, they need to be resolved before proceeding, as these countdowns are managed by the SCR module and won’t typically be cleared through ECU tuning. Ensure all fault codes are cleared before initiating the tune, as you won’t be able to clear them afterward.
